Karl Fukuda

  • Name: Karl Fukuda
  • Vehicle: 99 Acura Integra RS
  • Cost to Show: Two years and more than $5,000

Something 'bout That Dress Up

"Don't go with something cheap. Save up, and get what you want. You'll never be satisfied." It's a bit of advice that comes from 22 year old Karl Fukuda, a new and rising car enthusiast. While he doesn't claim any particular car club, Karl has spent $5,000 + in hard earned money from his Front Desk Supervisor job towards giving his '99 Acura Integra RS a makeover. This ride hasn't been on the competitive seen yet, but it'll be on display for the first time during Import Nights 2003.

The closer inspection: The exterior displays a Buddy Club full body kit, custom molded rear bumper and side skirts, an AEM cold air intake, 17" Zenon Wheels by TSW, and NT 450 tires by Nitto. The car also has a Nakamichi 40Z Head Unit, 2 12" Audiobahn 1200x series sobs, 1 Farad Audiobahn Capacitor, Focal Mids and Highs Front Speakers, Cerwin Vega IT's Rear Speaker, 1 1800E Audiobahn amplifier Ð Subs, 1 A6600E Audiobahn Amplifier Ð Mids and Highs, a Viper 300 ESP Alarm System with starter kill. Beauty is not just skin deep with this Integra, if you take a closer look. At night, you may see this car lit up with a Neon Under Car Kit by Street Glov and Altezza Tail Lights. The ensemble was put together in under a year of work! Imagine the possibilities. In the future, his Integra will have Air Bags, Cat Back Exhaust Engine Swap, and a paint job of a different color. If you get to talk to him about what he's working on, you might want to ask him about his rugby and football prowess too.

He sends special thanks to his love Trisha Castro, David Elliott of Exotic Minis (the friend that jump started his interest in cars), Mel Ortiola of R3 Customz, Vince from Proline, Vince from Guam Automotive Clinic, and Mark, John, James, and Jennifer of Sunny's Electronics.
