Becoming
an enthusiast of custom vehicles is something
that just seems to happen. Many gravitate toward
the passion during their teenage years and Jeffrey
Cruz is just one of them. Jeff has set out to
build a truly unique custom ride that stands out
in any crowd.
For
Jeff, the characteristic that makes his truck
rise above the rest is the big facelift done to
its exterior. The design of the paint job is courtesy
of Ron Villoria's vivid imagination. "Candy colors
like green, blue, silver, orange and fuchsia were
used," Jeff says. The end result is a totally
eye-stealing paint scheme that is neither dull
nor wild and what Jeff regards as enhancing rather
than overpowering the other elements in the ride's
design.
Being
an enthusiast gives Jeff a high sense of fulfillment
simply because he enjoys doing it and it has become
a family thing. "My family is pretty much into
this too because they help me out" Jeff says pertaining
to his wife and daughter.
Jeff
is not just an enthusiast and builder of rides.
In 1997, he helped found the club Pacific Stylin.
Along with Ken Munoz, they aim to get everyone
together who is into cars or trucks. Jeff added
that Pacific Stylin doesn't have stringent prerequisites
to join. "We just want to make peace, and it is
really up to the person to fix his own ride" Jeff
declares. The club is also into joining car show
competitions, and they are setting their sights
on Auto Jam 2002.
Presently,
the auto club has eight members and meets every
Friday at Paseo to talk trucks with each other
and plan for any upcoming events.
